Cookie policy

Last updated: 18 June 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones SquadStats uses on this website (www.squadstats.dev), for what purpose and for how long, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent at any time.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (or equivalent technologies such as localStorage) when you visit it. They make the site work, remember your preferences and, if you allow it, measure how the site is used or show you relevant communications.

By purpose, we classify them into three categories: necessary, analytics and marketing. Only the necessary ones are enabled by default; the rest require your explicit consent.

2. Which cookies do we use?

2.1. Necessary (always on)

Essential for the site to work and to remember your decision about cookies. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off.

NamePurposeDurationOwner
ss_cookie_consentStores your cookie consent preferences so we do not ask you again on every visit.6 monthsOwn (first-party)

On this informational site that is, by default, the only information stored. When you access the application (app.squadstats.dev) additional technical cookies may be used, necessary to log in and keep your session secure.

2.2. Analytics (opt-in)

Cookieless measurement. To understand traffic in aggregate we use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not install cookies and does not identify individual users. Because it is anonymous by nature, it does not require your consent and stores nothing on your device.

The analytics cookies described below (cookie-based, such as Google Analytics ones) are different: they are disabled by default and are only enabled if you accept them. When in use, we would employ cookies such as the following:

NamePurposeDurationOwner
_gaDistinguish users in order to measure use of the site.2 yearsThird party (Google LLC)
_ga_<ID>Keep the analytics session state.2 yearsThird party (Google LLC)
_gidDistinguish users (recent sessions).24 hoursThird party (Google LLC)

2.3. Marketing (opt-in)

They let us measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and show relevant communications. They may share data with third parties. This category is disabled by default and is only enabled if you accept it. When in use, we could employ measurement pixels (for example, Meta Pixel) with cookies such as the following:

NamePurposeDurationOwner
_fbpMeasurement and attribution of advertising campaigns.3 monthsThird party (Meta Platforms, Inc.)

3. Third-party cookies

Analytics and marketing cookies may be managed by third parties (such as Google or Meta), who process them under their own privacy policies. These third parties may be located outside the European Economic Area; in that case, transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for in the applicable regulations. They are only loaded if you give your consent.

4. How to manage or withdraw your consent

You can accept, reject or customise cookies at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect the necessary cookies.

Back to home

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. See the help for Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Bear in mind that disabling certain cookies may affect how the site works.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. If the changes are significant, we will ask for your consent again. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.

6. More information

To find out how we process your personal data, see our Privacy policy. If you have any questions, write to us.
